State Employees Credit Union Banking Services
The State Employees Credit Union is a Credit Union who services are offered exclusively to the residents of the US state of North Carolina. It is a cooperative non- profit association whose purposes are listed as the following:
- Promote thrift among its members by affording them an opportunity to accumulate their savings
- Create for them a source of credit at a fair and reasonable rate of interest
- Provide for its members an opportunity to use and control their money to improve their economic and social condition
State Employees Credit Union Eligibility
The State Employees Credit Union employs about 4,200 people for the effective administration of the Union. Eligibility is restricted to people employed in the civil service in the State of North Carolina, these employees may also be employees of the Federal Civil Service working in conjunction with the State departments . Members may also be retired personnel of the North Carolina Civil Service. In other cases membership is fully open to members of the immediate family of a person who is a member of the North Carolina Credit Union, this eligibility applies to spouses, parents, children, and siblings of a member.
The State Employees Credit Union provides a number of services to its members. One of these services is Online Access which provides members with a means to view their transactions over the Internet, transfer funds between various accounts, process real-time loans, view images of monthly payments and checks, order checks and deposit slips and a whole lot of other options.
Online Banking Services
Members can also get a an automated service that helps users access their accounts all round the clock. The service is called ASK SECU and members can use the services to verify their account balances and determine which checks have cleared , check interest rates , verify which loans are due and a host of other things like transferring funds between State Employees Credit Union accounts.
Insurance and Investment Services
The State Employees Credit Union also has a host of other features designed to make life easier for its members and provide them services at a low cost. Some of these services include Insurance options, Investment Services in money markets, commodity markets and various stock markets. The State Employees Credit Union also has an Auto Center to help its members get financing to purchase vehicles they want to buy or to maintain vehicles that they already have.
