The America First Credit Union has its offices in Utah with its headquarters based at Ogden. Membership of the union can be achieved by fulfilling a number of requirements. The most important of these requirements are listed below.
Membership can be attained if the intending member satisfies the following conditions:
- The person lives, work (or regularly conducts business in), worships, attends school, or volunteers:
· In Salt Lake County, Utah
· Within a 12 mile radius of the Mesquite Nevada Post Office
- The person is a member of the immediate family (Parent, Spouse, Sibling/Step, Child/Step, Grandparent, Grandchild) or household of an existing member or those eligible for membership.
- The person is a spouse of a person who died while within the field of membership.
Share Savings Accounts, Certificate Accounts, Checking Accounts
If these membership criteria are satisfied the person can apply for membership and benefit from a number of services and opportunities. Some of these services include the opening of accounts such as Share Savings Accounts, Certificate Accounts, Checking Accounts and a number of other categories of accounts.
Investment Services
Services such as Investment services are also provided , these services are provided through various means. The first of these means is through Members Folio Investing which is managed by one of America First Credit Union's partners - FOLIOfn Investments, Inc. The second of these services is offered through affiliation with ShareBuilder a service that allows members to make investments with as little as $1 per account.
General Insurance and Trust Services
General Insurance and Trust Services are also provided by the America First Credit Union. These insurance services cover Auto Insurance , Home Owners Insurance , Term Life Insurance , Whole Life Insurance, Accident Insurance (AD&D), Long Term Care Insurance as well as Disability Income Insurance. Trust Services are also provided by the Union through another partner - the MEMBERs Trust company. The specific nature of the trust services provided include: Wills, Living Trusts , Charitable Trusts, Custody Accounts (IRAs) and Asset Management. In other areas the America First Credit Union also offers various loan services which range from home loans to auto loans. Personal loans are available as well as student loans for educational purposes.
Visa credit cards and debit cards are also given to members depending on the nature of the application and the particular card requested. Electronic services provided guarantees that a member has access to vital information such as account balances and transactions when they need it.
